l have been suffering with stoma leakage for the past week. My carer is even threatening to quit. l phoned Medilink to see if I could get someone to help. Michelle Scripps took my call and said she could arrange a visit after the bank holidays. When she spoke with me further Michelle could feel my anxiety and said she would visit my home in 30 minutes. On examination she immediately noticed my stoma opening exceeded the stoma flange and cut it to fit. Michelle also phoned Amicare to request an envelope so l could send them a template of the new required size. Michelle even went to the additional trouble of showing my brother how to fit the stoma bag. l have osteoporosis and am virtually bed bound so l rely on other people to help me. Michelle is a credit to your company a more caring ,compassionate person l have never met Thank you Medilink keep up the good work

Michelle was so kind and understanding. She listened and showed so much empathy . She helped me so much with all my anxieties for my next treatments and the issues that go with it regarding my stoma . Lots of positive new advice even though I’ve had my stoma since 2019 At last I feel someone is there for me . As I moved just as COVID lockdown started I missed that face to face contact I had previously . Now I know I can contact Michelle at any time

Couldn’t fault my meeting with Michelle today but maybe the handover from one health trust to another could have been better .But feel confident looking forward I will be well supported .

My community stoma nurse was very supportive and always on hand to offer help and advice. I found the home visits were more beneficial to me than the stress of going into hospital.

There is nothing I can think of where the team could have done anything better.

Both Gill & Lucy at Harrogate District Hospital showed the highest level of professionalism, care and understanding beyond words,. This care and attention put me at ease after a traumatic diagnosis and procedure. They both gave me time and patience in follow up support that gave me encouragement & confidence to deal with my situation before my extremely intense and radical follow up treatment. I have thanked them both personal for their services and help. Gull & Lucy are a credit to Salts and their colleagues.

Secure a permanent treatment room for the Salt nurses to work in snd call their own.

EVERYONE ON THE TEAM (BREEGE, BARBARA AND Fran & Michelle) were absolutely brilliant, treating me professionally and compassionately, answering all my questions, dealing with all my worries, sorry that I won’t be seeing them as often, as they have set me up very confidently with my stoma xx
